Property

Located in a small hamlet just on the outskirts of the picturesque Umbrian village of Panicale, LeMura offers sweeping views across the hills and Lake Trasimeno. The large villa can sleep up to 16/20 people with 8/10 guest rooms and suites. The property contains various common spaces, a large entrance hall, several salotti (salon rooms), private commercial kitchen, a limonaia which is now an ample sunroom with exterior kitchen, an outdoor terrace on the first floor, spacious gardens and park, a private chapel, and of course a swimming pool hidden amoung the olives.

Designed and decorated in the ecelctic Empire Style, the exterior boasts its warm, glowing hues of apricot and melon and the interior invites you in with a mix of international antiques, playful pastel colour schemes and original fresocoes. The villa is filled with interesting vignettes, corner scenes and contemplative vistas wherever you look.

“God Almighty first planted a garden. And indeed, it is the purest of human pleasures.”
— Francis Bacon

The Swimming Pool

The villa swimming pool tucked away in the olive grove with fantastic views over the hills and across to medieval Panicale is just the right distance away from the house should you need a siesta away from anyone enjoying themselves a bit too much at the pool! At 12m by 6m it is also the perfect size should anyone want to get a few lengths in.

The Garden

The fairytale charm of the Villa will make you forget the stress of the 21st century. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with the scents of lavender and honeysuckle, sage and rosemary, a heady blend that will perfectly accent the beautiful Villa encased in the Umbrian countryside.

The garden and park covers an area of approximately 2 hectares (all fenced) with many of the original varieties of plants and trees that were planted in the villa grounds towards the end of the 19th century. The Italian garden has been almost entirely replanted, investing once again in the original feel of the family home and garden.

The Chapel & Cantina

The Cantina is on the ground floor of the villa and opens up on to the Villa park. Available on request for weddings, parties or large dinners. The Villa Chapel looks out on to the villa itself and the Italian garden and is perfect for a small intimate celebration or ceremony.
