Our surrounding area, on the border of Tuscany and Umbria, offers a plethora of options for your holiday. We are only a short distance from many historical and interesting places - from small villages, to famous Italian cities. So besides relaxing at the Villa in the gardens and pool, you can enjoy self-guided daytrips, or we can help curate a holiday activity package with some of the options below.
Our Local Area
We are located just outside the small, picturesque village of Panicale. Quite sleepy with locals during the off-season, in-season the town comes alive with visitors, activities, and even some celebrity guests. Listed as one of “I Borghi piu’ Belli d’Italia” (The Most Beautiful Towns in Italy), Panicale is home to a few lovely local bars, restaurants, and historic sites. Here you’ll find some interesting historic architecture examples, as well as a musem, garden and churches, one where you can see two frescoes by Perugino, the famed Renaissance master.

Plus, we sit not far off the main train line and Autostrada between Rome and Florence for an easy and quick way to reach the bigger sites and cities while enjoying Villa LeMura as your homebase.
